Out of 10 Grading Chart

Every possible score on a 10-point test — from 10/10 (100% A) down to 0/10 (0% F) — with its percentage, letter grade, and GPA equivalent on the standard 4.0 scale.

When is a 10-Point Test Used?

Ten-question tests are common for quick reading-comprehension checks, vocabulary quizzes, and end-of-chapter reviews. Each wrong answer costs exactly 10 percentage points, making this one of the easiest scales to grade mentally.

The letter grades below use the standard US 10-point scale: A (90–100%), B (80–89%), C (70–79%), D (60–69%), F (below 60%). GPA values follow the 4.0 unweighted scale (A = 4.0, B = 3.0, C = 2.0, D = 1.0, F = 0.0).
